Bill Murchison represents Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. on the Industry Leaders Circle. Bill is a Senior Principal Consultant at Geosyntec based in Illinois with over 35 years of experience in dredging, marine infrastructure, and waterfront construction. His expertise spans field engineering, project design, cost estimating, and strategic planning for dredged material management. Bill has led complex coastal and port projects worldwide, supporting government agencies, port authorities, private industry, and international clients.

Bill brings a contractor’s insight and a consultant’s precision to discussions on marine logistics and infrastructure development. His career bridges feasibility studies, permitting, and funding strategies through to design and execution, making him a trusted advisor throughout the lifecycle of marine-related projects. Known for delivering innovative, site-specific solutions, Bill’s work continues to shape resilient and efficient waterfront systems.

Bill and his partner, Jackie, are long-term residents of the Chicago area. Between them they have four kids and one grandson, all of whom have a wanderlust to explore the world and experience new things.
