Stormwater management through low impact development methods
During the rehabilitation of Érables Avenue (350 meters long), the City of Montmagny plans to use an ecological management for stormwater (LID – low impact development). Indeed, Érables Avenue offers enough space to incorporate one or two infiltration trenches capturing stormwater runoff from the street. These draining trenches associated with elements of planting will contribute to give a special character to this street. Furthermore, this will reduce the quantity of water discharged into the stormwater sewer and into the River.
