Location and Directions

The DeVos Place convention center and the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel are located twenty minutes from Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Both are just off U.S. 131 and Interstate 196.

DeVos Place

DeVos Place is the brand new, state-of-the-art convention center, located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids on the beautiful Grand River. Enclosed and riverfront pedestrian walkways connect the convention center to the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.

Travel

Plan to arrive the afternoon of Wednesday, July 11 and to depart after 1 pm on Friday, July 13. If you will be flying out of the Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR), book a flight that departs after 2 pm.

Air Porter shuttle service is available from the airport to the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel for about $15 per person. It departs from the airport every 30 minutes (between 7:00 am and 9:30 pm). Cabs are also available.

We will transport guests to the airport for those leaving on Friday afternoon following the conference.

Parking

Parking is available at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. Self-park is $16 per night and Valet parking is $25 per night.

If you are driving, DeVos Place parking is located below Exhibit Hall, with parking entrances at Lyon and Michigan Streets. There is additional parking at the Government Lot across the street on Monroe Avenue.

Meals

Continental breakfasts, lunches and snacks on Thursday and Friday and a reception and dinner on Thursday evening will be provided.

Dine-Around Restaurant Options

On Wednesday evening, an optional, hosted Dine-Around provides an opportunity for you to meet and dine with other meeting attendees. Reserve in advance when you register for the conference. You are responsible for the cost of your meal.

The 1913 Room

Michigan's first and only 5-diamond restaurant. The Louis XVI-inspired dining room offers masterfully prepared French-influenced cuisine and an excellent wine list. Jacket required.

Bistro Bella Vita

Fresh Italian and French cuisine, prepared from scratch, and served in a big-city, casual atmosphere that features a renowned martini bar.

The Chop House

Features USDA Prime Beef, the finest Midwestern, grain-fed meats, and exceptional premium wines in a refined and elegant setting.

San Chez, A Tapas Bistro

Cuisine of Spain with a Latin and Cuban flair, specializing in Tapas, Sangria, Sherries, Ports. Casual attire.

Attire

Business casual is appropriate for all functions. Evening events may be held outside, a light jacket or sweater is recommended. Bring comfortable walking shoes; all evening activities are within a 10-minute or less walk from hotel. Shuttles will also be available.
